Dick Liquor Store’s feature wine of the month is a sweet, but not heavy sweet Italian wine by the name of Roscato. This wine is great for the palate & goes absolutely wonderful with Italian food and/or steak. This wine is sold at Olive Garden and I’ve been told that it’s one of their better sellers. This wine is brand new for Dick Liquor and was very hard to get for a long time. For under $15 you can enjoy a bottle of this palate pleasing wine. Wine of the Month
Ravenwood’s Zen of Zin is Dick Liquor’s Wine of the Month. It’s a great tasting wine for great price. Now I’m no Wine-O, but I have tried quite a few different wines and appreciate those “happy medium” wines that aren’t too dry, or on the other end aren’t too fruity. This one although it has a slight dry finish, I would definitely put this wine in my happy medium range.
One thing that I love about this win is that unlike some of the lesser zinfandels, it doesn’t have that strong fruity flavor. If you asked me what 3 words describe this Zen of Zin, I would have to say it is rich, tasty, and affordable. I highly recommend this wine.
The people in charge of marketing this wine definitely had some fun with it. On the bottle reads:
